Christmas is over......now I'm ready for Summer!

I don't know about you but that's exactly how I feel. I don't care much for the months of January February and March. April starts to give me hope again. Nice warm weather is soon to be.

Christmas was wonderful and got to spend it with my family. That's what it's all about for me. I've been sick and on antibiotics. Christmas Eve my daughter and I had a glass of wine....just one (1)!! By the time I got ready for bed I was covered in hives! Boy that was fun...NOT! So up until today I've been taking Benedryl....they seem to have finally gone away.

What I like the best about the holidays is school vacation! So for the first 3 days I was able to have my 2 older granddaughters here with me. I had so much planned...didn't get to all of it but sure did have a good time.
Miss A completed her rug Hooking project that she started some time ago and has decided that she wants to make it into a "stuffy" so I'll put that together for her.

We did lots of sewing. Made some practice sheets for them out of paper. Both Miss A and Miss V did great. Then we went on to making fabric headbands as well as a bag that Miss A decided to embellish with felt scraps and buttons. There was also some ironing involved and they did great. After all that a trek over to the pool was enjoyed. Spent a couple of hours there before coming home only to get ready to get back home. Gosh! They are growing so fast...,where does the time go?

Winter Has Arrived!

Yes, as you can see it's here!
Temperatures are in the minus
and the snow is starting to accumulate.
That means it's a great time to
knit
do some applique embroidery
and finish up last minute gifts.
I've been down and out for the last 10 days.
Good ole fashion head cold
or sinus infection
whatever it is has had me punky!

"Learn something new every day"
well the other day at my rug hooking group I was sitting with
these 2 lovely ladies that introduced me to 2 new words
or items you could say.
They each had these cute little round containers with a cover with a round hole on top.
What are those?
An Antique Hair Remover.
I've never heard of such a thing...in the nearly 50 yrs I've been in the beauty industry.
So I googled them.
Oh my! Now I'm on the hunt for one.
Porcelain one would be nice.
this one looks very much like the one she had.
So the second thing I learned was the word
"Chatelaine"
A hook-like clasp or a chain for suspending keys, trinkets or
scissors worn at a womans waist or lapel.
Also worn around their neck/
Love, love, love them.
So I think I've found a new project.
Hand-made from appliqued  wool or even hooked one.
I like these.

So for those of you reading this blog
did you just learn something new?
I hope you will give me some feedback on these.
Or if you have either, I'd love to see some pictures of them.

Well, enough for now, I hope I have introduced you to something new.
I'd better get back to my knitting or they won't be done for Christmas.

A Bientot!

I am back at it...or as the saying goes "BACK IN THE SADDLE AGAIN".

As you can see from the date of my last post, 2016 has not been a busy year.
Au contraire mon frere!
So much has happened this past year
and i can't wait to share it with you.
However i am not going to do that right now as I'm trying to work out some kinks
in writing this post.
Not sure if its me or my computer that likes to jump all over the page
when I am typing.
So please bear with me.

I'm hoping that i will get some new followers
but also look forward to seeing past loyal ones.

A Bientot!

Not Going to Over think it!

So much going on right now. Not really. Hello! Welcome! Happy you're here. I guess you could say I'm not a dedicated blogger..howeve...
