Another summer comes to a close!

God Morning my friends!
Bare with me as I have myself a little pity party.
Yes, summer has come and gone once again. The summer crowds have returned home and the kids will begin a new chapter in their lives. New school for some, new teachers, making new friends. Grades getting harder! Gosh, don't we all remember those days...seems so long ago! .... and now for THE PITY PARTY! So sad that it has gone by so fast. I've missed spending more time with my kids and  the grands...all 5 are growing up so fast and I feel as though I'm missing out on their childhood. I know, some live in a neighboring state and others are so busy with summer sports and activities. I get that...and I know it's Not about ME! With that said, thank you for letting me vent. ❣️

Yes, tomatoes are plenty this year so here come another batch of roasted tomatoes. This time I added 2 whole cloves of garlic then pressed them out of the skins. As you can see I made a couple of baguettes for later. Most of my bread recipes came from this book....my bread bible.
The house smells so good!

Getting back to my Magnesium loton
This is the recipe I used, however me being me I made a couple of changes. I used calendula and Vitamin E oil. I plan on trying this again.

Gotta run....
Thanks for being here...drop me a comment..
A dieu till next time.

  1. Glad to hear from you! Summer did go by fast. A lot of rain; then not enough rain. I always look forward to fall…the best season of all. Enjoy

  2. I truly find it hard to believe summer has come and gone although I love the fall weather. Won’t be long and the Wooly Witches October hook-in will be here. Looking forward to it. A dieu…

  4. I know what you mean about the pity party. My little grand is 2-1/2 already and I feel like I have missed at least 2 of those years. I know it's not true, but yikes...time is a squirrelly fast thing. Canning, baking...especially bread baking....you're speaking one of my love languages LOL.

  5. Donna it's okay to have a pity party, that's what friends are for. I personally feel like I've been in a slump all summer I am grateful for my family and friends to help me through the sadness. Keep sharing in your blog, the bread and tomatoes look delicious. I'm going to have to check out that book. Enjoy each day. May God keep us safe. I smiled when I saw your opening line God morning. Loves. T

  7. The older we get the faster time goes. The kids get busier and busier the older they get.
I roasted tomatoes and froze them for future sauce.
    Now on to fall
