Here we go, it's here. Super Bowl Sunday!
I'm excited how about you? More about this later!
Can I just tell you what's been happening around here? On Feb. 1st hubby was transported to the ER by ambulance...after 2 days he was admitted and diagnosed with a slipped disc. He had very little mobility and kept for observation and more tests. Released on the 6th. He's now waiting to be scheduled for PT at Pain Management. Tuesday will be his first consult and therapy. The poor guys has been in such pain. We have seen much improvement but changes from day to day. You know the rest! Yup I am playing nurse maid...just call me Nurse Wratchet!
My shawl is coming right along. I have plenty of time to work on it as I don't stray too far
On another note I had another "oh no!" moment when right in the middle of a row my needle came apart! I'm using KNIT PICKS interchangeable circular needles. The problem was not where they screw in but the needle itself came out from the metal piece! I had to glue it in. interchangeable needles by them I just love. Not sure how I will handle that!
In April I will have the privilege of taking a rug hooking class with Michelle Palmer! I am beyond excited, I've heard so many wonderful praises about her artistic ability and her teaching skills. My plan is to work on her buoy rug. Everyone just loves her. And the plus side is 3 of my BFF hookers will be together! Cathy from Acornhollow.blogspot.com is of course one of the 3!
I expect we'll have a great time.
Another full/new moon comes more high tides and that means more flooding!
This is getting old! What to do? What to do?
So now let's get serious! What's on you super Bowl food table? I've been tempted by so many yummy options but since it will be just the 2 of us I went for French Dip sandwiches. The beef is being slow cooked in the crock pot as we speak and smells amazing. Chiabata bread and provolone cheese!
So for now enjoy the game, friends and food and hope your team wins. In this house we're divided! But it's all good!
Thanks so much for stopping in!
A Bientot!
Donna.
Sounds like quite a bit of slippage going on at your house....hope both your husband and your knitting needles recover soon. Despite the needle mishap, your shawl is looking ever so loverly. Lucky you to be taking a class from Michelle. Other than attending a couple of workshops at my neighbor's (Cathy from Red Barn Rugs), I've never been able to attend any hooking classes, etc. And the workshops aren't exactly "classes." It is just several hookers who get together once a year to hook and chat really. I think I know the buoy rug you mentioned....that will be so fun! Looking forward to seeing posts of your adventures. ~Robin~
