HOOKER on a mission!

Hey,  Welcome back! I know it seems like we were just here. Getting this post out early so thanks for being   with me. This is tonight's sunset. Sure is beautiful...but aren't they all!

So this Hooker is on a mission. I've been procrastinating long enough. I've not worked on my stair risers since this whole coronavirus started. Now the weather is getting warm enough i can take all my gear out and hook on the deck. Yippee!

Here is my progress so far. A few more rows and this one will be finished.  Gosh that makes me happy. I've not had much motivation as of late so this is a nice change. My Roomie over at Acorn Hollow is moving right along on another rug. The previous was just completed and it came out great. My Vt.bff has also been hooking like crazy...but she's a quick hooker....anyhow i can't let them get one up on me....so I'm on a roll.

Speaking of my Vt. Bff...i recieved this little packet of seeds today in the mail...yumm.

She posted a pic on fb of those that she had growing and the salad she made...looked delicious. Love mesclun salad so can't wait to have mine. I'll be sure to keep you posted.

Here is my current watercolour project. Compliments of @creationceecee.  I started with the big one and decided that the design will work for cards. So far i have 5 made. A thought would be to sell them as a set. Not sure,  just a thought.  Would love your input. (?)

Finally got to work in the garden and planted some flowers. A bit late but did get my geraniums in the urns. 

Things are getting better by the day. 

Lots of highs and lows...ups and downs...but for now it's all HIGHS. Sure hope it stays.

Memorial Day weekend.

Welcome.....happy that you're here.

Wishing you a wonderful holiday weekend. If you are like us you most  likely will NOT be celebrating with family or friends. Trying to maintain these state orders is extremely difficult.

I pray this comes to an end soon.

It's been a hard few weeks with lots of emotional ups and downs but we now seem to be on a very "high". Happiness comes in many different forms. Mine comes in happy little smiles and hugs. Love life as it is!

What happened on Taco Tuesday?!

Well my intensions were good. Hubby wanted tacos for dinner...sounded great. Then he decided that i should have a freshly made margarita...yumm..sounded good to me. He's great at being a "mixologist " That comes from his stint at bartending at Dino's  Lounge on Sunset Strip, La. (That's a story for another time J & P) back in the day. Anyhow they were delicious and they went fown real easy!

3 deep and that was it! Taco Tuesday then became Taco Wednesday.

Oh well it sure was a good day to celebrate.!!

I've been busy painting rocks and cards. A great way to keep myself busy. I ove being creative...any way i can.

And the lessons continue!

Hey there Happy Friday! Thanks for checking in.  Grab a cocktail or tea and sit for a while. Let me start off by saying that i have the bestest friends. Just when i was in need of some cheering up my phone started making this crazy sound....didn't know what it was. Picked it up and there were my favorite "hookers" including me in a video call.!!!! What a nice surprise and always so nice talking with them but even nicer to see their faces. So ladies if you're reading this i cannot thank you enough,  you made my day...love you guys.

Do you remember when your children were little and they would come to you with flowers for you?

Remember those sweet little dandelions that barely had any stems...that's right..just like these. I was missing my kids so much AND my grandkids so when i walked across the street to the neighbor's yard to pick these mementos they are who i thought of. Such sweet reminders.

Brings a smile!

So i must admit i am following along pretty well with my guitar lessons via YouTube. Fingers a bit sore with major indents in my index and middle fingers at the beginning but doing much better now. Practice couple times a day with the A & D cord. Strumming is a different story...wow! that's a painful sound.  I'll get it.

Made a few more masks..this time using a different pattern. I think this mask is easier on my machine as there are no folds to go over. 

It also fits and hugs the face better. You know those little plastic covered metal clip things that keeps Dunkin Donuts coffee closed? Well i ripped those off the bags and made a pocket for them just over the bridge of the nose. Works great. So for those of you making masks give it a go. Let me know what you think. ( I should probably have combed my hair before posting this) . Speaking of that...how many of you have given that up? What the hell i'm not going anywhere anyhow.

Pizza Is on the menu tonight. I will admit I am damn sick of trying to come up with meal ideas EVERY DAY.

I can't wait till we can go to a restaurant again. Someone other than ME cooking a meal!!!!

Birthday comes early!

Hey! Welcome back! So pleased that you're here to share this news with me. Yes it did arrive a bit early and not really a "surprise". But i sure do like her! She's beautiful...I've been strumming since she arrived. Hubby may want to take out the headphones for a while. I've been doing YouTube classes for now but one of my cousins will be giving me lessons as soon as "social distancing " is over. Ive not come up with a name for her  so i need your help! ?

Bleeding Heart coming to bloom.

My heart was so sad yesterday when i had to make those dreaded phone calls and cancel summer vacations.  

They  were is so understanding and were expecting it. I believe this summer will live on in our hearts and mind a long time.

         We are all in this together.!

With that said i must share this picture i took today while out back roading. I cannot take credit for it. Out on a back road in York we drove by this. Had to take the picture and share.

So creative and awesome sense of humor! Another storm!!! That's what it's like here in New England....we were sitting on the deck a couple nights ago enjoying the warmth now comes more snow! Is this really May?!

While on our ride we also happened on this great sight. A Family out for a swim.!

What a happy sight. Puts a smile on my face.

I feel in my heart things will be better in no time...i'm optimistic today.
